BQCX March

16:00 - 18:00, March 9, 2022
Online

The practical use of quantum computing is a focal point and priority of many in the field. Join us at the March BQCX session to learn of one such major initiative, the BMBF-funded Q-Exa project, and gain insight on the future of quantum systems in data centers with recently conducted IDC report.

This Month Talks

Quantum computer extensions for Exascale HPC (Q-Exa)
In this presentation we will give an overview of the Q-Exa project in which an IQM quantum computer is integrated into the HPC environment of the Leibniz Rechenzentrum (LRZ). We discuss the benefits of hybrid classical/quantum computing and how we will address the technical implications.
State of Quantum Research in HPC Centres
This presentation is based on the IQM and Atos — State of Quantum Computing in HPC Research Survey conducted by IDC Europe in August 2021. Decision makers from 110 HPC centres worldwide (41% Asia/Pacific region, 32% North America and 27% EMEA) participated through computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) method...
