BQCX July session: Four years old and European Quantum!
Dear qubit enthusiasts,
This July session of the Bavarian Quantum Computing eXchange (BQCX) is a special one in a few ways. First, it is our FOURTH birthday! Many thanks to all the participants and speakers throughout the years!
And what better way to celebrate than with the European quantum community? LRZ is hosting a meeting next week with several of Europe’s HPC centers and quantum computing companies present for discussions on how we build a robust, competitive quantum and hybrid quantum-HPC ecosystem.
For this July BQCX, we’ll hold an interactive birds-of-a-feather style session focusing on quantum and quantum-HPC user groups and user needs. We have panelists lined up from the local and European community to provide perspectives from HPC centers, research institutions and regional development initiatives. From there, we hope to spark a lively discussion including your experience, perspective and ideas.
Who is using the computing capabilities of quantum systems now, and for what? What would you like to see for access to a European portfolio of quantum resources? What is realistic to provide in the next few years in terms of systems and access possibilities?
This will be highly interactive and your opinion is warmly welcomed and needed! Please come join our European partners and bring your thoughts, experience and ideas to this important conversation.
This meeting will be in-person only to facilitate discussion. Afterwards, we’ll head to the Augustiner in Garching for dinner at 18:30 and more conversation.
Please note, we will also be starting 1/2 hour earlier, at 15:30, to give adequate time for the session.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU: So that we don’t overrun Augustiner, please send us a quick RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday, July 11 at noon, if you’re coming to dinner!
